The Scioto County Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security is responsible to protect our community by coordinating and integrating all actives necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters.

The will be two meetings to solicit input from the public on the updating of the Scioto County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meetings will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 16th ans February 20th at the Scioto County Welcome Center, 342 Second Street, Portsmouth.
